NUSADAILY.COM-MAGELANG – Mount Merapi erupted again Sunday, November 17, 2019 at noon. Previously, on Saturday 9 November 2019, Mount Merapi also erupted and threw hot clouds as high as 1,500 meters.

“Based on the update up to 11.30 WIB, the impact of the eruption of the Mount Merapi hot cloud occurred thin ash rain in Sumber and Keningar Village,” said the Head of Magelang BPBD Edy Susanto, Sunday (11/17/2019).
The thin ash rain incident, said Edy, was obtained from residents’ reports. So far, the community continues to carry out their activities as usual and there is no significant impact.
“There is no significant impact, the community remains calm and alert and active as usual,” he said.
The Center for Investigation and Development of Geological Disaster Technology (BPPTKG) said that the eruption of Mount Merapi occurred at 10.46 WIB. The eruption was recorded on a seismogram with a max amplitude of 70 millimeters with a duration of 155 seconds.
