IMPERIUMDAILY.COM – JAKARTA – The sharp spotlight continues to lead to Garuda Indonesia. After the case of high officials smuggling luxury goods, now the problem is in the Soekkarno Hatta Airport taxiway. Two Garuda planes facing each other which makes the Ministry of Transportation ready to conduct an investigation.
The incident at the taxiway took place last Thursday (12/12). The incident occurred between Garuda Indonesia aircraft flight number GA-649 PK-GMH registration and GA-264 PK-GRR registration.
The incident began when GA-649 landed on the RWY07L runway and was directed by ATC officers to enter NC4 and NP1 lines. Then holdshort on NC3, but then the pilot enters the NP2 lane.
At the same time, Garuda Indonesia GA-264 aircraft was on the NP2 taxiway. This caused the two planes to be in opposite conditions. The incident also certainly did not cause damage to the two Garuda Indonesia aircraft.
“The incident of a wrong Garuda Indonesia taxi at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be followed up with further investigations by calling the pilot and ATC officer in charge,” said Director General of Civil Aviation, Polana B. Pramesti in a press statement at the Ministry of Transportation, Saturday (12/14) .
The Head of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Region I Authority Office, Herson, has confirmed that flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta Airport are not disrupted due to taxiway incidents.(kum/top)
